Mr. Pretzel is the stage name of Yoni Kletzel, a New York–based stand-up comedian whose unapologetic material on politics, Jewish identity, and Israel keeps getting his clips deleted — and his shows booked. He performs across New York City’s clubs, mics, and private events, and in spring 2026 took the act to Israel: The Bomb Shelter Show alongside Daniel Ryan Spaulding in March, followed by solo shows in Rishon LeZion in April. Love him or hate him, audiences leave knowing they heard something real.
Long bio
Yoni Kletzel — better known on stage and online as Mr. Pretzel — is a stand-up comedian from Monsey, New York. His comedy runs headfirst into the topics most comics tiptoe around: politics, culture, Jewish identity, Israel, and censorship itself. That refusal to play it safe has earned him platform bans, deleted clips, canceled shows — and an audience that keeps finding him anyway.
On stage he blends sharp observational material with uncomfortable truths; online, his street bits and character videos circulate faster than the algorithms can remove them. He performs across New York City — comedy clubs, showcases, and private and special events — and in spring 2026 brought the act to Israel: co-billed with Daniel Ryan Spaulding on The Bomb Shelter Show in March, then headlining solo stand-up shows at the Rooftop Club in Rishon LeZion in April. A bigger Israel tour, “Leave the Goats Alone,” is currently in the works.
